Basic Family Dog Obedience Manners Class
For Dogs and Puppies 7 months and older
This class is where you start your training with your dog if you missed my puppy class or if you have never taken a class with your dog before
7:00 pm on Tuesdays
Instructor: Tanya Mikolajczyk
Class Size:12 dogs
7-Week Class
This class is the first class to start your dog's training. If you missed the puppy kindergarten obedience class, if you have never trained your dog before in a class, or if you have trained your dog at another facility this class is the first class for your dog. If you have taken a class at another facility with your current dog, my methods may be different than what you were instructed on previously at another class. I recommend starting with this class as it will get you familiar with my method of training and will improve all of your basic commands that you have taught the dog. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind dog training class experience in that it utilizes classroom training and also features use of homework, handouts and video. Class participants and their dogs need to be in good physical condition to participate in classes as class participation requires standing for approximately 40 minutes. Tanya does not do separate evaluations of dogs to determine suitability of the class. Tanya will observe the dog and make a determination then if the dog needs to be moved to a more suitable class if the dog has attended another class somewhere else.
Orientation is the first night of class and is considered Week 1. No dogs will be present on the first night of this class. Orientation will begin at a special time of 6:30 and will run for approximately an hour. Registered Participants should arrive by 6:20 p.m. Orientation will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.
